Oxton Celebrates Dedicated Employees
This month, Oxton Engineering celebrated two key employees thirtieth year with the company. Barrie Murphy and Paul Healy have both worked on the shop floor at Oxton for 30 years. Managing Director Phil McWilliam thanked them both for their service to the company and presented both of them with a gift from the company to celebrate their dedicated. We hope they stay with the company for many years to come.
Oxton Engineering Recuits New Planning Engineering
Oxton are pleased to announce that Glenn Pollit has joined the company as a Planning Engineer. Glenn has considerable experience in the precision engineering industry and is a welcome addition to the team.
Oxton Engineering Invests in Further New Machinery
As part of our commitment to meet our customers increasing needs for turning capacity, Oxton has invested in a new CNC Lathe. The Feeler FTC 150 will increase the amount of turning work Oxton can accommodate. The new machine has maximum dimensions of 310 x 550 x 52 and a spindle speed of 6000. Oxton Engineering Recruits New CNC Miller
Oxton have recruited a new experienced CNC Miller to help expand our capacity and to allow us to continue to meet the needs of our growing customer base.
Oxton Engineering Invests in New Machinery
To help meet our increasing order book, Oxton has invested in a new CNC machine. The DMG 1035 V ecoline will increase capacity in our milling section. The new machine has maximum dimensions of 1035mm x 560mm x 510mm.

Oxton Engineering Invests in Enhanced Capabilities for its ERP System
Oxton have had new capabilities added to the existing ERP system, to streamline the production planning process and to allow us to provide our customers with better visibility of their orders. These additional capabilities will also facilitate operations in our new bonded store.

Oxton Engineering becomes involved in the University of Liverpool Knowledge Exchange Programme
In keeping with our culture of continuous investment and improvement, Oxton have entered into a new partnership with the University of Liverpool that will allow Oxton to benefit from the knowledge of new tools and technologies. Oxton will benefit from expertise supplied by the insight of a number of members of staff at the University, as well as having a KE Exchange associate come and work full-time within the company for the duration of the project.
The main objective of this project is to improve and optimise the current production planning system and to produce new marketing materials for the company that reflects the recent changes.
Move to New Premises
As part of our growth strategy, Oxton has purchased a new larger building on Cleveland Street, Birkenhead. Our manufacturing capabilities and equipment have increased over the past few years and investment in new facilities has allowed us to move all our manufacturing into one larger building. We have moved our new ISO 14644-1 Class 7 Clean Room facility with Aqueous Ultrasonic Cleaning facilities and Clean Assembly into the same building.
A move to larger premises has provided us with the impetus to invest heavily in new plant and equipment.
Our bonded store has also undergone a complete re-fit. We are now able to provide high levels of traceability of materials, parts and finished goods like never before!

New Website Launched
In order to communicate the changes in premises, processes and culture of Oxton Engineering, to existing and potential customers we have been working with a website design company and researchers at the University of Liverpool to create a website that best reflects the company as it is today. This new website should provide our customers a better insight into the way we work at Oxton.
