Our policy of ongoing improvement means that we invest in all those things that give us a competitive edge. We have a well equipped shop floor with machining centres and inspection equipment to manufacture a broad range of products in a variety of batch sizes.
We have vast experience in working with a wide array of materials including a number of different grades of aluminium, titanium, plastics and steel.
We operate 11 CNC Milling Machines of varying capacities up to 2000mm x 1000mm with 4 axis machining capability, including DMG, Hass, Leadwell and Bridgeport.
Seven of these machines are full CNC Machining Centres. These machines allow us to manufacture simple or complex components quickly and efficiently. We also have the latest 3D CAD/CAM software which can import electronic data smoothly, reducing set-up times and ensuring conformity to design, and continuity over time.
We operate 6 CNC Turning Centres of varying capacities including Hitachi Seiki, Ajax and Leadwell. These have a maximum machining size of 300mm diameter x 600mm long with bar capacity of up to 75mm diameter.
These machines allow us to manufacture one off components and large batch quantities easily and efficiently. We also have the latest 3D CAD/CAM software which can import electronic data smoothly, reducing set-up times and ensuring conformity to design every time we manufacture the component.
Tool Room and Ultra High Vacuum Welding
Oxton has a dedicated Tool Room with various conventional Centre Lathes and Milling machines.
There is also a Universal Grinding section with a range of Cylindrical and Surface Grinders which have a capacity of 280mm diameter x 1000mm long for between centres grinding and 600mm L x 250mm W x 300mm H for Surface Grinding.
Oxton offers a wide array of Welding and Leak Checking services including Ultra High Vacuum Welding, Tig Welding, Brazing, Silver Soldering, and small fabrication work. We can leak check to <1.0 x 10-12
We also have the capacity to Wet Blast, Shot Blast, Ultra Sonically Clean, and Chemical Blacking.
